Much like the ocean, life can stir up some wild waves. As I was painting this piece I reflected on some of the most difficult times in my life. Times I felt I would never survive. Moments I felt like I was drowning. But then I took a moment to realize how far I’ve come. The wonderful friends I’ve made in the stir of it all. How it feels to overcome and power through. Much like the feeling I get when floating in the calm ocean waters. Catching my breath and breathing in the salt air. That’s what this piece represents. The calm after the storms. I hope this piece encourages you to look for the beauty within the chaos of life. To live for the hope of it all.
